Developmental Paediatrics

WELCOME TO THE DEVELOPMENTAL PAEDIATRICS UNIT!

Developmental and Behavioural Pediatrics is a specialized field that focuses on the comprehensive care of children and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, and learning concerns. The Developmental Paediatrics Unit, CMC established in 1997, has been looking after children from all over the country.
Our approach is multi-disciplinary, child-centered, parent-involved and family-focused.
We believe that every child is special gift from God. Every child has his or her own potential, strengths, challenges and developmental trajectory and the team endeavors to understand the unique needs of each child and support them to reach their full potential.
Our multi-disciplinary team is ever-growing. Currently, the team comprises Developmental Paediatricians, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists, Special Educators, Physiotherapists, Developmental Therapists, Nurses, and Office and support staff. Even though the team is diverse, we work collectively to provide comprehensive and holistic support to the child and to the family.
The development of every child is our priority. We look after infants, toddlers, school-going children, and adolescents and our primary focus is to enhance their development and enable them to achieve their God-given potential of the child.  We also look after children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay due to any cause, children with Genetic disorders, Neurologic disorders, Language disorders, difficulties in learning, and attention difficulties, children with behavioral needs, High Risk Infants, etc.  (the list is ever-expanding).  Our duties also extend to research into the field of developmental and behavioral pediatric care as well as conducting conferences and workshops as part of our commitment to education and training.
